Renault has just launched a super small 7-seater SUV in the Indian market with prices starting from $ 6,414.
Recently, Renault has officially unveiled the all-new 7-seater model called Triber in India. Although Triber is a small MPV with a seven-seater interior, Renault calls it a “premium hatchback”.
Defined by Renault to be a small SUV, in fact, Triber resembles an MPV with SUV-style design details – similar to the Honda BR-V or Mitsubishi Xpander. However, compared to these two already very small B-grade MPVs, Triber is even “tiny” even more with only 3.99m in length, 1,739m in width and 1,643m in height. Weighs only 947kg also speaks to the minimalist of this “small SUV” from France.
Compared to rivals, Renault Triber possesses a completely different design language to be able to bring interior space large enough for 3 rows of seats. In fact, Renault compared Triber with a series of other B-class hatchback models and said that the rookie was more practical because of the third row. 20% lower than other B-class hatchback models.
In terms of safety, all Triber versions are equipped with seat belts on all rows, ABS, reverse parking sensors and at least two airbags. In addition, the top variants have additional front airbags and rear parking cameras.
The most advanced versions of Triber are equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, AC vents in all three rows, a medium box. Center is cooled, keyless entry, start / stop by buttons, power windows, projector headlights with HID LED lights.
The price of Renault Triber 2019 will range from 440,000 to 580,000 Rupees (about $ 6,414 – $ 8,438) in the Indian market. If you want to add a third row of seats for this cheap MPV model, Indian customers only need to spend 3,000 Rupee (about $ 43). This is something that no MPV model in the Indian market has.
